The Committee members recommended that the Verkhovna Rada adopt in entirety the draft laws on ratification of: the Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the Italian Republic on transportation of military cargo and personnel through the territory of Ukraine in connection with participation of the Armed Forces of the Italian Republic in the International Security Assistance Force in the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan (Reg. No. 0052); The Protocol of border sign “Tur” which was erected to show a junction point of state borders of Ukraine, Romania and Hungary (Reg. No. 0055); the Convention between Government of Ukraine and Government of Northern Ireland on Avoidance of Double Taxation and Prevention of Fiscal Evasion with respect to taxes on income and estate value increment, and the Protocol to it (Reg. No. 0057); the Agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the Slovak Republic on military burial (Reg. No. 0059).
The Committee upheld such bills: “On Metrology and Metrological Activity” (Reg. No. 3090), “On amendments to several laws of Ukraine re licensing some types of economic activity during the conduction of which circulation and application of fumigants are carried out (Reg. No. 3086); “On amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine (re cancellation of paying environmental tax for utilization of out-of-use transport vehicles) (Reg. No. 3332).
The people’s deputies also adopted a plan of the Committee’s work for the fourth session of the seventh convocation.
Moreover, recommendations of the Committee’s hearings “Statutory regulation of foreign labour migration in the context of European integration” were adopted.
The Committee members also discussed results of the Eastern Partnership Summit in Vilnius and decided to hold a special meeting of the Committee regarding European integration prospects of Ukraine, with participation of the First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Serhii Arbuzov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Leonid Kozhara.
